America's Test Kitchen was right about this cookware. It is very high-quality and looks great. I've All-Clad sauté pans and I prefer the handles on these pans. They are much more comfortable. These pans do not stick if pre-heated with oil before cooking. The heating is very even and hot. This 12-piece set has all the basics you need. I think you could supplement this with any special pans to meet your needs. The pans are balanced very well and do not tip back when placed on a burner without food. The lids fit well. Steam condenses under the lid and drips back into what you're cooking, hence less reduction. Maybe obvious but it works well. I was frankly surprised to get such high-quality cooking supplies from Walmart and this is a serious value.

Excellent quality and value compared to All-Clad

after carefully researching Tri-Clad pots
and pans, I finally decided on this set and this brand. There is no reason to spend more and all the reason to get this smaller set unless you have a large family. These are solid, beautiful, and conduct heat so well and fast - even when on medium heat.  Still keep a non-stick, non-stick Tramontina pan for omelettes, but other than that I am so happy I chose this brand. If you are in the market for a Tri-Clad set, I would say take a very close look at this brand before you get your pots and pans.

NOTE- This particular set was made in Brazil and has glass covers, which is my preference. They clean easily and maintain their polish.

Excellent set

I got these to get away from my old magnalite set due to fear of aluminum leaching into my food. I have to say they have exceeded my expectations. They cook well, heat evenly, and are well made. They have a nice weight to them without being too heavy. They look nice too. No problems with food sticking but I am used to cooking without nonstick since I used magnalite previously.

I ordered the 12 piece set July 2020 with glass lids. The pans themselves are all made in Brazil (laser etched on each pan). I'm very happy I went with this set. It was a toss up for me between this set, and the Kirkland 10-piece 5-ply set from Costco. I ordered both and had shipped to my house (quarantine) to compare. This set was slightly more expensive ( $30), but all the reviews for Tramontina I could find were positive (like this one). The Kirkland set had mixed reviews of warping pans and heavy weights. I didn't cook with either set before settling on a decision, but weight was very apparent. The Kirkland set resemble cast iron cookware while the Tramontina set just feels right and balanced (whatever that means).  Tramontina's warranty appears to be lifetime? (Don't quote me) which was another big plus. One of the glass lids was actually shattered in the box when I received it. I took a picture and emailed Tramontina's customer support and I had a new replacement lid the next week.

All I can say is that I'm very happy I went this route, and even happier that I didn't default to a much more expensive All-Clad set from the get go. This is my first set of stainless steel pans and I hope to use them for many years to come.

We paid under $125.00 for this set. 
This was the price point at Sams Club we wanted to beat. They have the black ones and these are a universal 18/10 stainless steel look that fits any kitchen.

Tramontina Tri-Clad Made in Brasil

I ordered 10 pieces 18/10 tri-ply Clad stainless steel. These came perfectly fine better than what I expected. It has nice appearance and heavy weight also contains warranty card by Tramontina. I will definitely do another review for its cooking test.

Better than expected

Before buying this small set (there are just two of us so a bigger set is not needed). I read plenty of reviews of this brand as well as the All Clad brand. Trust me when I tell you that the difference between the two is negligible, but the price is not. If made in USAnis so important to you that you want to spend nearly $1,000 more, go for the All Clad set. Mine was made in Brazil and even if it has been China, I Wallis have still purchased this set because of the rave reviews professional
Kitchens gave it, regardless of origin.

There is no doubt that a non-stick pan I will need for omelettes (eggs they are my nemesis) but other than that, these are perfect; and, oh so pretty!!

Just as good as All Clad

I'd put this set against any triple-clad set on the market!  This thing is super versatile and is my go to for week night dinners.  I don't think there is a better value in cookware.

If you have issues with sticking, make sure you are properly preheating your pan then adding a oil of your choice.  Even eggs will glide on this thing if it is clean and properly preheated/oiled, try adding a little butter to your oiled pan to really make sure those eggs don't stick.  

If you get any discoloration or spots, just give the pan a light scrubbing with a non abrasive sponge and some barkeeper's friend.  The pan will shine up like new!

Chef Quality at a Value!!

Bought this set of stainless steel cookware after reading a very positive review of them from The NY Times food editor. 
Been using them almost exclusively for the past 9 months or so and as seen in the photos, they appear new. Cleanup is surprisingly easy, except the time I cartelized onions in the large pan. Cleaning that one turned out to be a real chore, so I went out and bought a couple of non-stick pans for those particular dishes. 
These are all clad so heating is very uniform throughout the cookware. They can handle very high heat (500*) so going from the oven to the stove is not a problem. The lids are also stainless, so don't expect to be able to see the foods while cooking. 
This was an excellent purchase for our needs.

Nice all clad stainless steel

Received for Christmas gift from Walmart.  This is my second go around with the 14pc tri ply all clad.  SS from China.  Tramontina CS replaced a lid (5 qt stock) that was warped out of the box as well as replaced the 2/2.5 quart which after first use developed odd white spots inside.  CSR was very gracious and also sent me a 1/5 Q as a consolation prize.  Cleaning as they suggest with soap and water and nylon sponge does not clean the inside of the pans.  There is always discoloration and or some type of staining that occurs.  Stainless steel should be....well..stainless. Not so with the pots and pans.  Tramontina suggests from some link to season the pan with a little oil in the bottom - never heard of having to season a ss pan in my life!  Cast iron sure; but not ss. Then they suggest barkeepers friend - okay fine - but one shouldnt have to use BKF every time you use a pan/pot!  Fact is they are Chinese s.s. and not of the quality they profess nor do they clean up as they state.  I use wooden and nylon utensils and normally cook on 2/3/4 setting on my gas stove.  When Boiling water ill go to 5/6 for pasta - but hey thats only water lol.  Overall - disappointed but unless you want to pay the all clad price - i guess this is the best substitute :(

Ehhhhh - follow up review

Overall Fit

As another review noted, first use and wash following all instructions with what appears to be pitting at the bottom of the pan AND discoloration on the sides.
Food did was not acidic or left in after serving time and pan was washed with soapy water and soft sponge only.
At $200 for the lowest price, did not expect damage from the first and proper use.
It does heat well, but we are of course disappointed and cannot recommend.
